A decade ago, some data enthusiasts, IT specialists brought together their expertise to undertake analytics of data arising from the presidential and parliamentary elections. Through this, there was a relevant insight on the voter rolls, the ways in which seats have been allocated by district and on ghost voters. These results were published in newspapers (e.g. Sunday Observer, Financial Times) and websites (such as Colombo Telegraph, SL Guardian). We had provided a full fledged websites in Sinhala, Tamil and English.

Unexpectedly, we could not sustain our efforts through the last elections in 2019 and 2020. We had to do much work over the last two months to recover the websites and social media accounts. Even then our website is not having all our work in Sinhala and Tamil as yet. Our Facebook is still locked. We thus had to start new SM accounts for FB, TW, LinkedIn. We expect to set up TikTok, Youtube, WhatsApp and email accounts as well.
